NURSERY

Nursery provides care for children up to two years old during each scheduled church service. It is the goal of nursery to create a safe and nurturing environment in which children may play while their parents enjoy the service. Nursery is available for infants and children up to two years of age.

We count it a huge privilege to watch your children! All children must be signed in by an adult, who will be issued a pager, so that the parent may be called during the church service. In order to pick up the child after church, the same pager that was issued must be turned in by an adult. Children exhibiting signs of sickness (ie; fever, runny nose, etc.) may not be admitted into the nursery in order to protect the wellness of the other infants and toddlers. FAITH SPROUTS

Faith Sprouts is a preschool ministry for children ages 3 and 4. Children receive quality biblical ministry in a safe and caring environment. We sing songs, tell visual stories, make crafts and play games to teach the Word of God in “bite-sized” truths. In Mark 10:14, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” Our mission is to lead the little ones in our care to Jesus that He may touch them and bless them.

LITTLE SHEPHERDS

Little Shepherds is an engaging and exciting class for children 5-7 years old. Providing a Christ centered environment, where children are to seek and know Jesus. Each class includes worship, lessons about biblical characters, and visually stimulating crafts that reinforce the lessons learned. QUEST 119 BIBLE HOUR

Parents, we are excited to announce the launch of Quest 119 on Wednesday nights for children from kindergarten (age 5) through eighth grade! Quest 119 is an hour of focused Bible instruction in grade level classes. Our vision is to engage your children in the study of God's Word in an intriguing and purposeful way. We will take them on a journey through the great people, great verses and great doctrines of the Bible, aimed at laying a firm foundation for their Christian faith. Quest is a partnership with you, to diligently teach and disciple your children to be followers of Christ.

A commitment to bringing your children to Quest every Wednesday will be a great blessing to you and your family. With the service now starting at 7:00, and dismissing at 8:15, you can bring your children to church for quality ministry, and have them home, and in bed by 9:00. Sign­up for Quest in the foyer today!

Times and Location

Wednesdays 7:00­ - 8:15 p.m. Children may begin signing into their classrooms at 6:45 p.m.

The first through eighth grade classrooms are in the fellowship hall.  The kindergarten classroom is on the south side of the modular building.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Children’s Church is aimed at preparing today’s children to be tomorrow’s church in action.

We wish to welcome you to an environment where you can peaceably leave your children knowing they will be safely nurtured and have the love of God imparted to them.

It all started when a 9-year-old prayed at the altar. Nobody else would kneel to pray with him, so Frank did. The young boy told of his struggles with trying to serve God in a school full of non-Christians, no special instruction, and parents who fought constantly. Frank realized the need for a children’s ministry in the church. After several meetings with Pastor Warner, a conversation with Pastor Mitchell, and God dealing with his heart, Frank and Susan King planned to start this ministry themselves.

In 1979, in the living room of a small duplex apartment across the street from The Door Church on Veteran’s Boulevard, children’s church began as a Sunday morning service. The first meeting was attended by four adults (Frank and Susan King and Herb and Cheryon Unruh) and about a dozen kids. Their arsenal of teaching materials consisted of finger puppets, an old bamboo bar used as a puppet stage, and some imagination. The lessons may not have been polished, but they were biblically sound and inspired.

The church has grown a lot in the last 35 years and Next Generation Ministries has evolved with the needs of the body of Christ. After much prayer and many meetings, Frank and Susan King passed down headship of NGM to Tim and Cathy Martin, who have been involved in NGM for a number of years. Some 50 other adult workers are now actively involved in NGM (including some of the original dozen kids) along with dozens of teen helpers, who minister daily to around 500 children using their God-given gifts and talents.
