When you pull your lip balm out of this holder to put it on your lips, ask God to use your lips to speak the truth in love to people you meet.
Bible Application: It was hard to grab the ball and keep it from falling while you carried it back to your team. Sometimes it's hard to tell people about Jesus, especially if they don't like what we say. But Jesus tells us to always speak truth with love so all people can know about Jesus.

CRAFT: SUNCATCHER KITE
At Breaker Rock Beach, you may see dozens of beautiful kites flying in the wind! The kites we’re making won’t fly, but they will catch the sun in your window and cast pretty colors all around the room. When you see those colors, look at your kite and remember what we learned in our Bible story today. Others may have a plan that sounds easier or better, but God’s plan is always best!
Variation - For a small group, the parent/teacher can be the lighthouse and you can use small soft objects to be the rocks. If you don’t want to do blindfolds and you have enough kids, you can eliminate the rocks and let some kids be “currents” that are trying to catch kids and drag them away from the lighthouse; if you’re caught by a current you are out.
Bible/Life Application Debrief: Explain that life is full of things that want to pull us away from God or wreck us and often those things look like the easier or more fun way, but God’s plan is best for us no matter what.

Peter denied ever knowing Jesus. Peter was sad he had done this. After Jesus died and rose from the dead, Jesus appeared to Peter and the other disciples. Jesus told Peter that He would work through Peter to help others know and follow Jesus. No matter what twists and turns we take, we are never too far away from God. Jesus loves us and wants to forgive us.
Notes: Use the regular board game Trouble! if you have it or print it out from here and use dice and pawns from another game. Beads or cut up straws or anything similar can be used for pawns as well. Alternately you can play the board game Sorry! which is very similar. Chutes & Ladders also has a similar concept to it.

Game: Paint the Rainbow
Supplies
• Giant Inflatable Game Cube labeled 1-6 or a number cube or regular dice
• Strips of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple paper (1 per player in each of the colors).
Optional: Cut strips of paper in an arch shape decreasing in size based on the color with red being the largest and purple being the smallest.
Play
• Form a circle. Explain that kids will be attempting to "paint” a rainbow in front of them by rolling the cube in a specific order. Each number represents a color based on the order it appears in the rainbow: red—1, orange-2, yellow-3, green—4, blue-5, purple-6.
• The first kid will roll the game cube. If she rolls any number other than a 1, she passes the cube to the next person. If she rolls a 1, she grabs a red strip of paper, passes the cube to the next person, and attempts to roll a 2 on her next turn.
• Each player must paint the rainbow in the correct order. (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) Continue play until each kid has completed his rainbow.
For Small Groups/One Child
• Give each child the colored pieces of paper and their own dice and let them continue rolling until they finish building their rainbow, as long as it’s in the right order. First one finished wins.
Bible/Life Application Debrief
• Ask: “What is your favorite color in the rainbow?” (Allow kids to answer.)
• Say: “Without God, not even colors or people would exist! He is the marvelous Creator, and David praised Him because of that. We can praise Him, too!”
